Preparation instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Grease and line a 24 cm diameter English cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, honey, oil, eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth out.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely before serving.
Tips:
- You can add nuts, dried fruit or chocolate chips to the cake.
- If you want the cake to have a richer flavor, you can add 1/2 cup (120 ml) of mead or 1/2 cup (120 ml) of orange juice.
- Honey can be replaced with brown sugar.
